I honestly cannot believe I'm doing this, but I'd appreciate the help!

Yes, I’d say so. Although you technically could take as many APs as you want, 7 is the highest I’ve heard in a while…Any more and we’d literally go insane, and probably never sleep.

wow, you put many of us to shame…good for you! I would say you are well-qualified for all of these schools but you probably have the best shot at Penn, Williams, or Dartmouth. My reasoning is that you are very well rounded and you have great stats and ECs. We had a handful of Dartmouth acceptances last night and what strikes me is that you have a VERY similar background to all of the kids that were accepted. Are you applying to all of these schools regular or ED II to these schools? Penn applicants seem to do well ED. I think coming from New England you would do well in admissions at a school like Penn.

Also, you clearly have a “hook.” Whether it be your music playing or your athleticism but what good is this edge if you have nothing to show for it? Even if you aren’t being recruited you should definitly send some game film or email a coach, that way they knwo that you are “interested” but you aren’t committed to play. Or, you could make an arts supplement (making a tape, scheduling an audition) either way, you need something that will count and push you over the margin.

You seem to have really good stats, as well as varied extracirriculars. However, you have to be careful, because your athletic and music achievements might also show that you are not passionate about one single area. But, you never know. Harvard and Darmouth might be reaches, whereas Columbia, UPenn, and Williams are more matches/low reaches. Good luck!

I think Harvard is never a match for anyone, but it’s a definite maybe for you. Harvard is just way too competitive.
Columbia? who knows, they are crazy over there. everyone from my school got rejected for ED except one person who is lazy and doesn’t even have outstanding scores.
