/me signs for the fact the only open math and physics sections are at the same time.

i sign because math & chem used my priority/first-pass (late i might add, had to "settle"), and now all the greedy kids are flooding my GE cluster discussion and i have to take the leftovers =

same here, I am in scerri's chem class at 2 so I can't get physics neither

welcome to ucla kids.

seriously. be on top of your game when its time for scheduling and make it work.

If you don't take it this quarter, take it next quarter. It happens.

I am v. familiar with the Scerri situation. Winter quarter, I would sometimes go to the 12pm lecture instead of the 2pm - and so did half of my 2pm lecture classmates.

but scerri is only teaching one lecture this winter, the other teacher, felker, is very poorly rated on bruinwalk and I didn't want to waste my first pass spot to fit physics into schedule, but I made the dumb error of getting math instead of physics during my first pass now heavy price I pay for that mistake...

Made stupid mistake of using priority on math instead of chem, but will go to different lecture for chem anyway. Scheduling was pretty stressful, watching numbers rise, but now everything fits together pretty perfectly. I like my new schedule. It's decent. I'm happy. Life is a-okay. I'm posting in the wrong thread, aren't I.

I don't think I was overly screwed over, but I didn't get the math class I wanted. I used by priority for 20L(Gould) and EC3. Best decision ever, because EC3 would be all filled by my 2nd pass. I have to take Staff for 32A now and I'm doing 20BH, so it's not too big of a deal. As long as the staff isn't Biskup, I'll be content, hopefully Rogawski can give me a PTE.

i sign here b/c, as a forth year, there's only so many classes that i can actually take to fulfill my reqs and apparently all of these classes are TR from 10-12. :-( and those that aren't, filled up REALLY quick. now, i have some kind of crazy schedule and i'm hoping during winter break ppl will drop...

I didn't get screwed, but it seemed like I had 7 different classes I could enroll in and all of them happened to be on TR. About 4 of them ranged from 1-4PM and were in total conflict.

I got Scerri for my first pass because Felker wasn't rated highly, and then got physics since (despite the fact that it seems that 1A is pretty easy anyways) supposedly Buchanan is an easy teacher. My schedule now told me to get math and comp sci for second pass (I was only going to choose one and then a GE). By the time that comes along, comp sci and math are both full, and I end up having to take women's studies to still get in 14 units winter quarter >_>;;

I think it would've been better if I just sacrificed the good chem slot for comp sci and then got physics with a bad teacher. Then I'd be able to take Asian American studies at 11. Still, that was pretty frustrating.

seriously I felt really really dumb to get math during first pass because by second pass the only physics class open was at the same time as scerri's chem class I didn't want to add physics which would mean both my first pass classes go to waste and take all hard teachers...

I used my first class to get two engineering classes I needed, so that worked out good. When the second pass came I was screwed. All the classes I needed were full, or conflicted with my other classes. Fortunately one of the counselors got me on the wait list for a third class. I am only taking three classes since it will be my first quarter at UCLA.

I'm signing 'cause I used priority to get Pang's chem lab. how disgusting is thaT?

Gould's lab clashed with the ONLY physics 1B for the quarter...

i got screwed in ls3 and physics6c...

um... me. it took me hours to fix it... to be screwed over again... so now i have two finals on the same day... 30 mins apart...

3 out of my 4 closest friends also got screwed over a lot worse than i did

eh, kirby, you'll be fine. we've all done it.
well i guess it depends on what finals.
you could always just beat one of them up with a tall flag to make it go away ;)
