Hey guys I scored a 780 on the Math 2 in June with absolutely no prep, and just today I took a barron's practice test, which are notoriously hard, and scored a 780. Anyways my question is:

Would an 800 on the Math II provide cover, and possibly make up for, a low-mid 700 on actual Math SAT?

It seems to me that if you get 1 or 2 questions wrong (on regular Math SAT) you almost always get 740-760... It just seems to me that the math on regular SAT is rather trivial and that most accelerated math students are bound to make a careless mistake or two and that a 40 margin of difference really doesn't mean anything.

Although I believe colleges would consider anything like 770 and up to be equivalent to an 800 im kind of in the same boat :/

I got a 790 on math II but for the normal SAT I got a 710. And according to my online score report I only got 2 wrong and omitted one. How 3 questions could possibly drop my score 90 points makes no sense to me but I hope colleges will look at the subject test to see that I do have some decent mastery of mathematics, lol.

I think it’s mostly just how the questions are worded. Math II is straightforward while on the SAT I, they go around in circles until you forget what question is really being asked!

It will be nice if my 800 on Math 2 can “cover up” my 730 on the SAT math section…

Wow -3 is a 710… ridiculous

I really hope my 780 on Math 2 can cover up my 670 on SAT math.
