Significant Figures

What do I do?

(4.5^2) + (3.33)^2 = ?

How do I round this? Should I round each term following the multiplication/division rules and then add them using the addition/subtraction rule?

Yes.

(Hey, baby, can I have your significant digits? :D)

dude ur sad if u cant do sig figs up to this time
unless u have a crappy teacher then nvm lol

Well, my physics teacher is inconsistent in her computations in class, so I am just making sure this is the right way.

+ 11.1 = 31

you actually dont need to know significant digits for the ap test at all. well mebe for frqs

You first work out the answer, without any previous roundings.

Then, with your final answer, cut it down to 2 sf. Because your smallest sf is 2 (from 4.5).
