<p>Write an essay in which you tell us about someone who has made an impact on your life and explain how and why this person is important to you.</p>

<p>I was thinking about the prompt and...I have a lot of people who have impacted me, and without any one of them, I wouldn't be the same person...I was thinking I could write an essay about the man sitting in a bus riding to the middle of nowhere, because everyone could impact me and impact me equally as everyone else. Is this a terrible idea?</p>

<p>IMO a bad idea. Even if it were true that everyone could impact you equally, the fact is that they don’t. Sounds like an approach that simply avoids the hard work of being self-reflective.</p>
