I would not go as far as to say that you’re a definite in, but I would think that you have a good chance. It seems that OOS admissions is hit and miss and is just unpredictable. You have the URM status working in your favor, and I think that your essays would turn out to be fairly strong. Don’t rule it out because you’re intimidated by the OOS stories you hear!

thanks! i’m trying not to let it get to me and hope for the best.
anyone else?

Just be patient buddy, I really wouldnt rely on any of the answers on your chance of getting in. These people on college confidential arnt the admissions people, infact they dont know anything that goes on in the admissions office. Numbers arent everything, and if you ask me, its really dumb of people to say, “oh youll get in, or I dont think you have a chance.” Just be patient and confident and if it doesnt work out, just think to yourself, " At least I have other great college options" or to make yourself feel a little better just say, “Well I guess I was to good for Carolina haha” Dont get me wrong, Im a little nervous to, but life will go on. There is a reason for everything

angelfish13,
You have an excellent chance of being accepted. Also, you will find that UNC offers incredible support services for students with hearing or any other disabilities. Did you attend Project Uplift or any other MSRC recruitment events? I’ll PM you.
