<p>I desperately need to boost my EC's. In fact, I'm a sophomore and I have yet to join a club, volunteer, or take part in any other EC's. I want to join a summer program, take summer courses, apply for a mentorship, anything! I just really want to get involved, but everything that I find seems to be insignificant and not worthwhile or impossible to get into. Any suggestions???</p>
<p>not sure I get the question, but if you mean something to boost your profile, i suggest volunteer work, you could be a volunteer to tutor kids, yes being a mentor is a big deal, it shows the extra heart and all that good stuff.
My advice, don’t panic, there are many things you can do, at worst, your parents can help you volunteer at the soup kitchen or something.</p>
<p>I hear schools like it if you’ve already won either a Nobel or Turing Prize.</p>
