Since I got my netID I've been browsing through classes on Point, and I noticed that some classes have meeting sets for MWF, but other meetings are only one day a week for thrice as long. Are we supposed to choose between shorter meetings 3 times a week or one long meeting? And are there suggestions as to which is better, or is it just personal preference? Or are the long meetings supposed to be scheduled in conjunction with the shorter ones, like labs or something?
Thanks

It depends on the class. Some classes are once-a-week seminars that are three hours long. Others have the two-lectures-and-a-precept format. Still others (science classes) have lectures plus labs. Some (language classes) meet five days a week. You don't choose what format you want except in that you choose the courses you want to take. When you look at the course description on the Registrar's site, it lets you know what type it is by listing the meeting times.
