Well for spring semester, usually the course listing will come out in October and then you starting registering in November?. Registration time is assigned in October. Once you reach your registration time, then you have an unlimited time to add or drop a class.

Priority usually goes:
1. AIM
2. Athletes
3. Honors (not sure if it only for honors classes or non-honors class too)
4. The more credits you have the earlier your registration time.

oops i didn't realize how vague my question was...probably why nobody responded, but i meant how much time and everything during preview. sorry/thanks!

I can only answer for when I went to preview (3 yrs ago), but afterwards I had an unlimited time to add/drop my classes. Could have changed since then.

When I went to preview last year, we spent a few hours (2ish? It has been a year). You have "so many" choices, then you realize you have credit for it, then you realize they are all the same time, then you realize you have to take a pre-requisite...and so on.

Sorry I miss read you question again. I actually picked my schedule before I went to preview, but they did give enough time during you group sessions and at broward to pick what classes you wanted to take.

What really made picking my schedule was the period conflicts and multiple period labs.

With experience it gets easier. You find out what your preferences are. For me, I like labs at night (or later in the day) since I live on campus.

I like do get everything done as early as possible (with the exception of first period). I like to get everything out of the way in the morning then have the rest of the day.

most of the first day at preview consists of you trying to figure out which classes you would like to take. You write them in some notebook. Your preview staffer has to check it off before the first day is over so the next day you can just go in and pick your classes. The next day you get a scheduled time with an advisor and they sit with you on isis to get your critical tracking classes. The appointment is around 20 min. If you arent done with your schedule and still have to choose some gen-ed classes to take, then you have to go in another room and pick them on your own.
