Silly math errors

I’ve been practicing for the SAT, and I believe the only reason I’m not getting 1580+ everytime is due to silly errors. I always get 770-780 in reading/writing, but math is where I get 750-770, even though I consider math to be my strong subject. Always, I’ll have anywhere from 2-6 errors where I didn’t read the question right, or did wrong arithmetic. I know how to do the problem, but mess up in silly things like that. I’m worried that on test day, when the pressure is higher, I’ll be prone to making even more of these, and I want to stop doing it.
Any tips on how I can help myself?

Typical ways are to slow down when reading the question and to make sure your writing/work/equations are neatly legible. If you have extra time, sometimes trying to solve a problem a completely different way can help - if you obtain the same answer both ways, it’s unlikely you would’ve made a silly mistake on that question.
