Silverturtle's SAT guide discussion

silverturtle has been an oustanding person, contributing to everyone in the community, but i have something to complain about his guide.

"(In writing this guide, I have attempted to integrate concepts that the SAT will test into the presentation of grammar. Some of the grammar terminology can be intimidating; but if you spend the time to truly understand the concepts that I present, I am confident that (assuming an essay score of 10 or higher) you should be able to consistently score 750 or higher on the Writing section, almost regardless of where you started.)"

^ the quote is written by silverturtle himself. But when he saids if you truly take time to understand his concepts, you will score 750+ regardless of what you started with. Now I don't find this to be very true because the college board hasn't had significant increases of 750s+ in the writing section. or it could be that students don't have enough time to go through it all and integrate concepts. what do you think?

Are you trying to ■■■■■?

Not everyone will have read Silverturtle’s Guide to SAT and Admissions Success. Thus, College Board won’t have some random statistics saying 50% more people have been getting +750. Now you said that CB has not seen significant increases in 750 and higher. Again, not everyone in has read it. You can’t arbitrarily apply the statistics like that. Perhaps if everyone in the entire country has read Silverturtle’s Guide THEN we can start talking about lack of score improvement.

And correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought parentheses were unnecessary when you are quoting something?
