<p>I want to apply to UMiami's medical program, and one of the essay topics asks for you to give a personal history about yourself and why you want to pursue medicine, but the Common App essay is also about a personal experience. My essays cover the same personal experience but the common app in more in depth about the experience, and the medical essay focuses more on why I want to pursue medicine due to my experiences. Even though the essays have similar information, is this ok or should I change the common app essay?</p>
<p>Each essay you write gives the adcoms a chance to see a new side of you do you really want to waste an opportunity by writing about the same thing twice? I’m sure there are plenty of experiences you can talk about.</p>
