Hi guys, I tried finding a link to start the simon youth foundation community scholarship app but there was no pdf or link and I couldn’t find a date when the app may potentially open for me to start working on. Can someone give me a link or tell more when this app opens? Thanks
My child won one of these for $1,500. The application period closed in March and the 2018 class hasn’t opened yet. The link was:

How much do you think “first-generation college student and those with demonstrated financial need” played a part in your child winning this? I can’t get a clear idea of what “demonstrated financial need is”. If my EFC Expected Financial Contribution is 13K, and tuition is greater than 13K, then it seems I have demonstrated financial need, right? Thanks in advance!
We were not first generation, so that had no role in her winning.
Our financial need was around what you say your EFC is.
Best of luck! It wasn’t a ton of money (I think it was $1,500) but it was money we didn’t have to earn, and they were very nice to us.
