This might be stupid, but i had heard about all the restrictions about what you can have there (no cell phones, etc.) and are you allowed to bring like an ipod or other personal electronic devices?

i was wondering the same. i was also wondering if there are certain restrictions on communication, via the internet, such as emails or messaging websites like facebook?

I have all my e-mails accounts (USAFA, hotmail, and gmail). I use facebook. Others use myspace, that stuff if fine. No youTube.

No ipod or music or movies at all. you can be granted media priv. but that's only from the computer still no ipod. you get your cell phone back parent's weekend. Then only weekends till prog. if you're passing you can keep it, otherwise still only on weekends.

Name other PED and I can tell you.

What about cameras?

Can you download like Winamp and listen to ShoutCast Radio..which is Internet Radio stations...that is all I listen to... (.977 The Mix Channel)

No, streaming media is not allowed (why they blocked youtube). Just remember, the Ipod/music/video limits are for 4 digs. Cameras are fine.

So upperclassmen can watch dvds on their laptops?

Yes, they can. They can watch any decent media, as long as it does not violate the internet use policy (i.e. don't stream video, etc.)
