I'd say my tastes are fairly eclectic. In the past week, I've listened to ...
Led Zeppelin
The Decemberists
Elton John
Santana
Rilo Kiley
The Beatles
Christina Aguilera
Louis Armstrong

Just a few of my favourites:
Led Zeppelin
The Doors
Cream
Nirvana
The Whites Stripes
Coldplay
Stan Kenton
Buddy Rich
John Coltrane
Maynard Ferguson
Count Basie
Louie Armstrong
Miles Davis
Dizzy Gillespie
Woody Herman
Duke and Mercer Ellington
Enya
and Libera, my all time favorite...

Jimmy Eat World
Green Day
Rufus Wainwright (my current obsession, a bit cliche considering, but whatever)
Iron and Wine
The Killers
Coldplay
U2
REM
Counting Crows
Billy Joel
Simon and Garfunkel
Jeff Buckley
Melissa Etheridge
The Dandy Warhols

I just got The Arcade Fire's "Funeral," and while I'm loving that, it's not a favorite yet (the vocals bug me a bit). And... let's just say that several OCRs are among my favorites and not go into that any further.

-Green Day
-Sarah Mclaughlin
-Linkin Park (some of their stuff)
-Train
-L'Arc En Ciel
-Keane
-Dir En Grey
-Norah Jones
-Everclear

A Perfect Circle, A Silver Mt. Zion, The Arcade Fire, Air, The Apples In Stereo, Armor For Sleep, At The Drive In, The Black Keys, The British Sea Power, Camera Obscura, Coldplay, Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists, The Doors, Elf Power, Explosions In The Sky, The For Carnation, Frou Frou, Godspeed You! Black Emporer, Jaco Pastorius, M83, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine, Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal, The Olivia Tremor Control, Pavement, Pedro The Lion, The Pillows, The Postal Service, Radiohead, Ratatat, Saves The Day, Secret Square, Sigur Ros, The Shins, The Smiths, Snow Patrol, The Stars, Stereolab, Stone Roses, The Sunshine Fix, Tool

Quite a list there o.O. I'm really loving the indie rock right now, as you could see. For all of those who like Neutral Milk Hotel, get some music from others members of the Elephant 6 Collective. They all rock, and a close second is Elf Power. They're awesome!

Give you three guesses to who my favorite is ;P

Wow Luwain. Our lists are strikingly similar.

Luwain- I love the Stars, would you recommend any other bands that are similar? Thanks

-Something Corporate
-The Juliana Theory
-Frou Frou
-Jack's Mannequin
-The Postal Service/Death cab
-Mae
-Copeland

RC0813, I noticed that too. If you like Godspeed You! Black Emporer, than you should try listening to A Silver Mt. Zion. It's a side project of the same people, and the sound is amazing. They even added a bit of vocal (which isn't too common of them).

California99, I love The Stars too. They're pretty unique, but I think you'd like The Sunshine Fix (they're a bit more upbeat, and use a huge variety of different sounds). People who like them also tend to like The Apples In Stereo (which is a bit closer to The Stars than Sunshine).

And a lot of people here seem to like DCFC...might I suggest Camera Obscura for all that do? Very similar, but I prefer Camera Obscura.

I never got into A Silver Mt. Zion as much as Godspeed. It just wasn't as powerful to me.

Ah, well that's cool. Godspeed is great too. Do you like Sigur Ros?

Beatles
Oasis
Coldplay
Eagles
Collective Soul
Goo Goo Dolls
U2

In that order. I listen to music a lot, but mostly just random songs.

Everybody should listen to They Might Be Giants, NOW!

Sigur Ros is very cool atmosphere music, but don't listen to them on a regular basis as the ambience is a bit TOO ambient ;).

Haha, fair enough.

What do you think of Wilco?

I enjoy listening to Bon Jovi.

They're pretty good; I enjoy listening to them once in a while. I like a lot of the transitions within their music, really cool :).

What do think of Jaco Pastorius? He's my all-time favorite jazz musician.

He's an amalgam of eccentricity and insanity refracted through the medium of music. That's really the only way I can successfully describe him ;).

But yes I think he's quite interesting and definitely enjoy the occasional listen of his live shows.

The Killers
Coldplay
Nirvana
Green Day
Pink Floyd
The Beatles
Santana
White Stripes
Kaiser Chiefs
Keane
Bloc Party
The Coral
The Thrills
Franz Ferdinand
Athlete
U2
Louis Armstrong
Alicia Keys
John Legend
The Zutons
The Happy Numbers
Willy Mason

and many more...:)
