<p>I was just curious if anyone else applied to the SIMR program for this summer. The application deadline has passed, but if anyone has heard about who gets in, the experience etc, feel free to post. :)</p>

<p>I did, probably not going to get in though. What’s the biggest factor they consider in choosing candidates</p>
<p>My friend applied the summer before his junior year and got in without any significant research experience (at least not that I know of).</p>
<p>He ended up turning it down for a prestigious job though.</p>

<p>Yeah, I really hope I got in, but I highly doubt I will. I’m not a minority, and I’m a guy/ And, they only except 1 person per school max, and about 4 people applied from my school who are a lot more qualified then me. I applied to some backups but I doubt I’ll get into any of those either.</p>

<p>Is it only me, but is everyone else getting really antsy too? I’m so scared…I come from a prominent (U.S.News top 100) school in the Bay Area and we are not underrepresented or financially needy so it’s tough :/</p>
<p>The Fed, they have accepted two students from the same school in past years, so don’t completely give up hope!</p>

<p>I got in! I can’t believe it, given that my SAT scores aren’t ridiculously high. I’m so excited!</p>
