I just realized that the Stanford shopping mall is really close to the medical buildings. Hahaha sweeet ;)

cadillac, I got the Utz Lab (Project #2). I think it was Lab 5.

Oh, and thanks for the suggestion about what to do with the transportation, everyone. The SIMR staff was kind enough to send a mass-email to everyone, but so far there have been no responses from anyone. So yeah. :(

Hey everyone! There’s actually already a SIMR 2010 Facebook group!

[Login | Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=118195944865931&v=info&ref=search)

Ah, yes, that would be my page. I went to the create a page thing to try it out, but I wasn’t aware that I actually made one. How odd. O_O

Sorry to butt in, but is it Najdorf like in chess Najdorf? The name caught my eye in passing and brought a flash from the past since I actually played a game with him, mano a mano, when I was about 10 years old.

I haven’t heard anything from SIMR since I turned in the sheet that had what labs I preferred.

I’m stem cell institute…has anyone in that heard back?

I’m starting to worry, since all of you are getting emails and stuff…

J’adoube, yes Najdorf, as in chess Najdorf. It’s been one of my preferred defences as black, though I’m quite bad at chess.

Also, insertname, I think you should email them or call them if you haven’t heard anything. Or check your spam folder, it might’ve gone in there.

Nope, nothing in spam folder or anywhere. =/

Idk…should I? I don’t want to appear impatient or anything…but still…what kind of emails have you guys been getting? Anything non-lab related? Or is it just about the lab, because maybe Stem cells hasn’t been decided yet?

Nothing from stem cell institute for me either. I’ve been diligently checking my spam e-mail too, since one of the earlier e-mails ended up there.

Well, everything is fine for me. This is sort of a late post but I’ve been busy with APs. Have you guys turned in your consent forms yet? I hate it when they ask for your SSN and it doesn’t seem to be relevant.

Hey guys… so how many of you are playing to do Intel ISEF or STS next year?

Doesn’t matter for me because I’m a senior. I might if I get some good results though.

Could you guys who got into SIMR post your stats or send me in a private email? I understand the essays are important, but would also like to have an idea of stats of admitted candidates.

are you guys listing your SSN?

Also, I’m taking the online safety lessons, but the instructions seem terribly outdated. I just used common sense to register but the instructions are confusing me… Where is everyone else in terms of safety lessons?

I just finished the first one. Have you gotten the confirmation yet? I feel like I never gave the site an e-mail to send it to…

With the SIMR research? I was under the impression that the student has to come up with the project by themselves for that…

^No you can submit any research, so long as it meets the guidelines for Intel.

I finished the bloodborne pathogen one and got email confirmation shortly afterwards.

I am working on the second safety training but I’ve also received emails from the VA
I have like 7 courses to do with them. Did you guys emails from the VA/gov?

nope
I only have 4 safety courses to do

hey if anyone from SIMR decides to look at this again someday…
lets meet up for lunch!
I wanna meet u ppl!
