Simr 2011

wait try signing in to your account on the simr site and update your sat score on there?

Good idea, but do you know where I can login?

EDIT: I think they removed the login button. Oh well.

@nicholax

Sure, I can share mine; however, I’m almost positive I did not get accepted.

4.0 unweighted GPA
Top 2% of my class (should be ranked either 1-3 by next year–just transfered)
National Honor Society
American Medical Student Association Member
SAT: 2050 (660, 700, 690) … eh
Prior CCF research intern; two research projects, presented to multiple boards, observed several surgeries, on debate team, etc.
Heavy school involvement (i.e., every club, sports, concert band, jazz band, stage band, piano, etc.)
Very good essays (lacking “true” diversity)

In all honesty though, my SAT scores are not good enough. I do not anticipate acceptance.

@loldanielol

I am also a little distraught we cannot update SAT scores. Oh well. I wonder if we can find the log-on link externally through google… hmm.

anyways I feel quite discouraged after looking at people posting on the RSI thread…:/

do we know what time decisions come out

In prior years, in the “afternoon” so start checking after school on friday

@harvard76

In previous year’s threads, applicants talk about getting an email of acceptance a few days in advance so we should all know before April 8 whether or not we’ve been chosen. Unless of course, the staff decides to radically change things up this year…

I think people that get accepted usually get notified 2-3 days in advance. So, an e-mail by April 5th or 6th?

I emailed them to see when decision notices would be sent, but did not get a reply.

Just to answer someone else’s question… I’m OOS too.

The diversity essay was tough, but I tried :-). I didn’t even think to send a resume/additional info.

@sMITen
I don’t know if I would have emailed them.

Agreed; the website explicitly says not to contact them about applications…

sMITten - are nt you already admitted to RSI?

^ Yes I am, but I still applied to other programs, SIMR being one of them :-). Who knows, I might want to spend my summer in sunny California over Boston :-). LOL not likely though!

wow congrats on RSI!
i wish they would just post the results already -___-

@sMITten

Congratulations on RSI. That’s huge.

We (meaning those accepted) should hear either today or tomorrow… good luck. Remember to post if you hear anything.

Anyone hear anything yet?

I have not heard anything yet. :</p>

It’s supposed to be by the 8th, right?

Hey, former SIMR student here. Good luck to everyone who applied - SIMR was an amazing experience for me and I think that those who decide to attend will have an awesome time :)

Forblueskies, would you mind telling us a little about yourself? It’d be easier to know what to expect if we knew the profile of an accepted simr applicant!
