I’m local to the Bay Area, awk.

i’m SO nervous…i already know a guy from our school whos getting in cuz his dad talked to the director of the program and they made a deal :frowning: and they only choose 1 per school…i hope they will make an exception for me!

@pineappl3, what do they look for in an applicant?

Underrepresented minorities, women, and those who are historically underrepresented in the sciences are particularly encouraged to apply.

 • A woman could have a better chance compared with a man?

^I don’t know. Sure I guess?

Is there any girl applying this program?

Yea of course, dude… I’m sure there’s at least 100 girls who applied especially Asian ones

If they want to make a class half to half for the boy and girl, girl could have a big advantage since there are less girls than boys.

i’m a girl that’s applying! ahh seriously, i know i shouldn’t expect anything and that i am likely to get my hopes up  i mean, there is a lower acceptance rate than ivies T___T

i’ll be happy for anyone who gets into this amazing program ^___^ i’m grateful for even the chance to apply!

my cousin got in last last year and all he had were really good grades and a sport! but his essays were really touching, so i guess that helps a lot! other kids i know who get in either have connections OR they had strong research experiences and won Siemens
