Yay I can’t wait until my own rejection letter comes in! Ugh I’m so mad that I couldn’t send in my March SAT score ):< But then again, 2320 vs. the 2400 I just got doesn’t make too big a difference I hope… If I get rejected it certainly won’t be for that reason. :P

trying to cope with my rejection beforehand with copious amounts of justin bieber and one direction. hopefully by then i’ll be so inured to discomfort that i won’t care. and you retook a 2320 - can you just go and die?

it’s people like you that put pressure on me to retake for a 2400.

^ Ahh, that’s a good idea. Don’t forget Rebecca Black!

^Retaking a 2320?! o__O You’re wasting $50! Congrats on getting a 2400 though :)

Aww you guys! Don’t get me wrong, I was insanely happy with my first score! It’s just that was from my sophomore year sitting and I wanted one for my junior year o.o And thanks! At any rate though, still getting rejected :P

Everyone should be more optimistic! We all have at least a (very tiny) chance.

I’m looking forward to taking one or two community college classes + a trip to Taiwan if I don’t make it. :D

Are most of you juniors? Any other seniors here?

Anybody got a call?

Nope I think calls come tomorrow though.

Well, we will all know our fate this time tomorrow. Good luck!

Do they call our home or cell? My home has no caller ID so we don’t usually pick up, and I’m not allowed to have my cell in my room.

I’d guess home

Well, we will all know our fate this time tomorrow. Good luck!

^ Did you copy my post verbatim intentionally or…?

Nope^, what a coincidence!

Hey I’ve been browsing the 2012’s facebook group and there are a LOTTT of NorCal…
Is it because more NorCal applied or more regional preference was given o.O

i’d say a mix of both.

Like phosphorylation said, probably a mix of both. It’s not like they would tell us.

I don’t think being a girl helps. We were told that when the program started, it had way more girls than boys, but it has evened out over time. Being a boy might even help. Biological science type stuff tends to have more girls than boys, IIRC. It’s the hard sciences/engineering where girls are underrepresented.

I don’t remember if they called our house or cell. As far as I know, no one was called a day in advance.

Best of luck, everyone!

Baylor HSSP : Acceptance rate 3.3% (10/300) Anybody applied this program and got in? Does anybody know the acceptance rate of SIMR last year? It seems more difficult than HYPS to get in. Good luck everybody! Today!!!

If you’re not home when they call, do you think they’ll leave a message?

Anybody got a call, let us know!

Shindawg@ Is the call only for Bay Area, how do they notify the result to the students out of Bay Area? Email?
Alpha2014@ 5PM PST today may be correct. I wonder this is for e-mail or call.
