SIMR (Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program) 2016 THREAD

So where did you guys input your phone number? There was only a space to put in your parents.

@Punisher1998 I actually don’t remem. I’m sure it was in there though because I distinctly remember entering mine.

OMG !! THEY CALLLED ME

I got in!

The phone just rang, and I thought it was SIMR. It was just some college survey. :frowning:

Looking at previous summers, all rejection emails are sent out at 5:00 pm (there could be a couple minute delay). Joeweller, could you tell me which page it was on in the simr.slideroom.com ?

The TA just called me!

Congrats!

@Punisher1998 no idea where it is, but my parents’ is on the Parent Info thing.

@futuredoc99 Congrats!!

Did the caller ID for you say SIMR specifically? Because now I’m really worried that I accidentally cancelled the call on a SIMR representative (the caller ID for me said “college survey”).

Thanks!!

@photogeek8 Don’t worry too much. If you got in, you’ll get an email. They won’t revoke it cause you didn’t pick up lmao

Would you mind giving us a quick overview of your application? What do you think was the deciding factor that got you in?

^^ @futuredoc99

Well, it appears that calls are done and those without one got rejected. GG guys, major congrats to those who got in!

i think it fluctuates between 60-80. 2014 had 80 acceptees, but other years only had about 60.

I got another internship too! but simr is really prestigious right

Haha yea, well, the process at least taught me a lot about how to write college essays. Another congrats to those who got in!

Lol the calls are not done yet

The TA called me on a blocked #
