SIMS UC Berkeley VS. MISM CMU

I've got accepted from both schools:
- the MIMS (master of information management & systems), UCBerkeley school of information -- www.sims.berkeley.edu
- vs. the MISM (master of information systems management), CMU -- www.mism.cmu.edu

Could anyone please kindly suggest me which school should be better in term of:
- quality of program
- reputation of the program / university
- career opportunity after graduate

The problem is I found nothing about the reputation for the "UC Berkeley school of information", while there are a lot positive reputation of the CMU one.

Thanks a lot for help.

Am currently in Same situation …Which did you choose and why?

+1,same situation here

I think CMU’s MISM program has consistantly ranked number 1 and Heinz College (at least on the Information Systems side) is well known for a high job placement rate. We even have our own career center. The vast majority end up either in NYC (with banks or consulting) or in California (with the tech companies). In particular the banks have traditionally heavily recruited from the MISM program.

However I think the quality of the program could use some improvement. For one, it’s way too large, 150+ heads per class. There are some good professors but there are also a large number of mediocre professors.

Oh yeah if you want to also learn some Chinese or Hindu, CMU MISM is the place you want to be. Around 70% of your colleagues will be Chinese or Indian.

Feel free to PM me if you want more information

zerolife, thanks for this insight.
