Simultaneously holding two student visas

Hi,
I have a question. So if in theory, I had a visa as a student for another country, that would be expiring 6 months after I go for my visa interview at the US embassy- do you think this would be a problem

The issue is that I am currently studying for a Masters degree right now in another country, and might be going for a PhD in the US next year. But my visa for the masters program does not expire until after I would have gone for my visa interview

that’s not going to be a problem.

There is no rule that you cannot have visas to multiple countries at the same time.

On the other hand, if the visa you currently hold is a student visa for that country, it may become automatically invalid once you leave that country after finishing masters, as you will not be a student anymore. Then all you’ll have is the US visa (when you get it).
