Since everyone else is asking

what are my chances? :), or better yet, how comparable am i to people who get appointments? (haven’t found any USAFA profiles)

Looks good to me, man. Honestly, you'd be surprised when you get here at some of the guys who are here. A lot hinges on your grades and extra-curriculars, which you look great in, plus your teams and leadership positions will pull weight. If you do well in your interviews with the ALO and congressman, you'll be fine.

The only thing is, apply to Annapolis and West Point too, unless the thought of going to one is just impossible. My ALOs always told me there is an element of luck getting into an academy, no matter how good you are, which I found out is true. West Point and USAFA took me on the first wave, Annapolis turned me down flat.

So...make sure you have other options open. That's my only advice to you besides to keep moving, and keep working out, running, and doing lots of pushups. :)

Looks good to me. You'd be likely to get in with that kind of profile. The only area you might want to concentrate on would be your math SAT. Since this is primarily an engineering/science based institution, your math SAT is weighted much higher than CR or Writing, and the average last year was around 710. I think the number is that math counts 3x as much as Critical reading or Writing.

Good luck!

thanks a lot. I'm taking the October SAT so hopefully i can get into the 700's this time. The math is so easy, but the questions are tricky:0
