It asks for my High School Transcript -_- I don't see what the point is asking for my high school transcript when I got decent grades at a Community College for 2 years with 60 credits ... seriously. Do I HAVE to send my high school transcript to Rutgers?

The thing I am so worried about is that my horrible high school transcript might affect their decisions. My GPA in high school was like a 1.9 … it’d be so ridiculous if Rutgers rejected me just because of that … I attended Community College for 2 years, 60 credits, and maintained a 3.4 GPA

Honestly, as a jr transfer, they will be giving much more weight to your college record. From reading the above passage, it looks like they mainly want your HS transcript to be sure that you have the required coursework.

Have you talked to your CC advisor? They would have the best idea of your qualifications for transferring to Rutgers.

Yeah, it’s kind of an odd requirement, especially for junior transfers. I’m applying as a junior transfer, and I had to go to my old high school to get transcripts today. Every school I’m applying to requires it. Good thing is though, most colleges (at least the ones I’m applying at…Cornell, UNC, USC…) don’t require the “Secondary School Report” of the CommonApp. They only require the other 3 forms. That was somewhat of a relief, as it made no sense for me to go see a high school counselor that I had 2 years ago.
