As long as your envelopes are post-marked March 1st, they’re good.

Well, most universities specify that all envelopes must be RECEIVED, not sent by March 1st. Anyhow, I moved in the middle of Secondary 2. Thank goodness most universities don’t require anything prior to Grade 9.

please don’t scare me. even if i rush and mail it out today by speedpost, the earliest they’ll get it is 3rd of march. and that’s like 35$. regular post is less than 5$ and it’ll reach them on maybe the 6th.

Hey who’s waiting for A level result? Haha… So once I get them, I should scan it to the uni directly is it?

Uh photocopy and get it certified and mail it to them I guess!

I’m waiting for results and I’m freaking out! Hope Penn doesn’t rescind my acceptance.

^ I didn’t even bother sending them my A-level results :p

Yea, but if my results are good then it’s good to send in what, it certainly won’t hurt, plus some unis do want the results.

honestly many unis don’t realy care about a level grades at all. it’s not UK

Yep, many universities don’t really care all that much so long as you don’t screw them up. What are you doing on CC at 6:50am in the morning, screwy?

^ Oh really they don’t? Is there proof of that? A Level Results are coming out tmr. Shucks.
I am damn nervous because I have this really bad feeling I screwed everything up. There goes my application.

@pyrosphere I don’t know whether the Unis will acknowledge the results if you can scan it to them. I know SFSU and if I am not wrong, the UCs, will want an official copy from Cambridge itself. You have to order it online and request they send an official copy to the Uni. But it is pretty expensive, surely above 50 Pounds.

I think A Level results are important. I know that if you do well for A Levels, you can use it to get credit. Yah. This is what I know. From the Uni I applied to. Not sure whether it applies to all the other Unis.

Anyway, all the best to all those receiving A Level Results tmr! :D

hahaha this is so exciting!! everyone getting back a level results tomorrow. rjc’s best performance in xxth years, while hc will focus on how many GP passes they have and a handful of top students, as usual.

frank i was just waiting for the dining hall to open for breakfast, and doing linear algebra =X

as long as you don’t screw up, a level results are important to the US unis only for credit. they mostly treat it as a form of AP exam. i would venture to say that it’s not as important as your SAT score, ECs, and essays.

Of course, not screwing up basically means at least 5 or 6 distinctions at A-levels and no grades lower than a B I guess.

^ LOL! your definition of screwing up is definitely much different than mine. Shucks :/

Well, at HYPSM and equivalent (Caltech, etc…) I guess. The standards drop as you move down.

that is so elitist frank…

Well, isn’t it true? That is the standard to meet to get into those colleges - you are probably not getting into Harvard with a string of Bs at A-levels.

So you’re not looking to get credit?

I think that is so elitist too. But I admit it is the hard truth.

I sent them my results after I paid the deposit and confirmed my enrollment.

Well, I don’t think what I said is elitist. I think it is the same thing as saying “a PSLE score of 200 will probably not get you into Raffles.”
