Well everyone’s saying Hwachong topped. In any case, the number of people getting 6/7/8 distinctions at these two schools is quite sick.

hm, one shocking thing is that RJ this year did not post that they got the best results in 28 (?) years? so yeah, maybe they did not do as well this year.

Edit: Nothing interesting.

On my Penn applicant portal it says “Deposit” and “Final Report” so I’m pretty sure I have to send them my A Level grades. Do I just photocopy my grades, get them certified and send them, or do I have to send the Common App Final Report as well?

Hey, i got my A’ level results:

4A’s + 2H3 dist

Im intending to go to the UK, hopefully imperial college/cambridge. I checked the imperial website it says that it costs 20,750 pounds per 3 terms. Accomodation is 60 pounds per week.

-> 1 year got how many terms?

-> How much approximately is my eating expenses?

1 year is three terms, I’m pretty sure.

do we get any college credit for h1 subjects?

^ Don’t think so.

oh no…so if i take only 3 h2s, 1 h1 and 1 h3 how many credits will i get? can i still graduate in 3 yrs???

Well, check with your university I guess. Different schools have different policies regarding advanced credit.

MIT admission decision is on 14th.Do we have any statistics of our representation to MIT for the past 5 years?.We have near perfect test scores, most rigorous syllabus, very good ECs , excellent representations in International Olympiads and research like ISFE.
Even then our excellent students like Fiona unable to find a place in MIT & Princeton.
Where is the gap and how to fill ?

you stalked our entire thread? who the hell does that?

^lol! 9088

By the way, have any of you done your visa interview? What is it like?

Visa interview? Pretty lame =p dun worry about it

juz went to NUS open house, met an honest admission officer.

Me: What are the requirements for nus scholarships?
Her (matter of factly): Straight As
Me: Even GP?!
Her: Even GP.

only in singapore are we so obsessed with gp. Seems like nus is the most selective afterall.

nothing wrong with being obsessed with GP. it’ll turn out to be the most useful a level subject when you write papers in uni
