Single Course Exchange Program With Coast Guard Academy

(I posted a similar message on the USCGA board, so I thought I should post here as well.)

Does anyone knows how this program works?

I'm interested in taking some of the accounting and operations research & computer analysis courses that CGA offers but Conn doesn't. But I wonder how feasible is this really? I haven't visited but I heard the two colleges are just next to each other on opposite sides of the street... still it should take some time to travel from one campus to the other (especially when Conn is supposed to be situated on a hill...)? Is it feasible in the long run (maybe say two semesters) to run from campus to campus?

Another thing is that, I noticed that many of the operations research course formats are marked as Class/Project, "with an emphasis on Coast Guard applications". Will Conn students fit into such courses? It's weird enough to picture one civilian amongst a classroom of uniformed cadets, not to mention having that lone civilian partaking in projects with the cadets?

Anyone has any relevant experiences or stories to share?

Oh and, will we be graded for these courses and if we are, will the grades count in the GPA?

woebegone- its pretty common to see coasties on campus, and conn students do take advantage of some courses at the academy. its about a 5 minute walk between the campuses. the courses are for credit, and the grades will be in your gpa/transcript.
