Single dorms

So, I applied for a single dorm next year, and just got this email:

We are contacting you because you have listed that you prefer to be placed in a single space for the Fall 2011/Spring 2012 contract period. At this time we have a few premium singles with community bath available, but cannot hold the spaces.

Please contact our office by replying to this email or calling as soon as possible regarding your interest. If you are interested in a premium single contract, we also ask that you let us know your building preferences. The premium single with community bath rate for 2011-2012 is $11,805. Spaces are available in Brackenridge and Roberts Halls.

Is this accurate? The 2011-2012 Price Listing says that there's normal singles and Duren singles available, so how come they aren't offering them next year?

Anyone? I guess I might just have to call housing on Monday to clarify. :/

They aren’t saying they are not offering the Duren and “normal” single. They are telling you this is what they have left and want to know if you want one. The Duren and normal singles were probably taken by returning students.

This might actually be a Duren single–you can always call the housing main office and ask.

I called earlier this morning, and they only have Brackenridge singles left… bummer. I’m kind of surprised, because I applied for housing as early as I could, and I’m a returning student. :(

Oh well. I think I’ll just cancel my contract and go with an apartment.
