Does double majoring have any advantage over single majoring in the law school admissions process? I am deciding whether I should double major history and political science or just political science alone. However, I am pretty sure I can get a higher GPA if I major in one subject than if I majored in two subjects because of the lessened workload. Also, would law schools look greatly into the difficulty of the coursework?

Double majoring and difficulty of major do not really matter for law school admissions. Do what gets you a higher GPA.

i'm also going to major in History and many minor in political Science. i know i can do really good in History and think the political science will help me in law school later.

I would simply recommend taking advantage of the offerings at your college and single or double majoring as you best see fit to match your interests. While in college, focus on getting the best possible education that you can achieve. You can decide later whether law school is a step along the path you want to follow. Don't forego pursuing courses or majors of interest to you because they may (or may not) affect your GPA.
