Single or Double-spaced?

I know there are literally hundreds of thread on CC about submitting the essay single vs double-spaced.

But I wanted to see if Yale had any specific requirement?

So what do I do, single or double?

As far as I’ve seen from perusing around the 'Net, there isn’t a specific requirement for Yale. And if there is, then whoops. Haha.

I single spaced mine with double spaces in between paragraphs.

Not that I know of

It gets scanned and formulated electronically regardless.

I suggest single spaced, and try to fit the essay on one page. My daughter didn’t care about the word count but did care that the essay did not go beyond one page.

I also suggest- convert to PDF and upload the PDF so that the formatting remains exactly as you want it.

Double spaced, easier on the eyes. And I really don’t agree with the idea of fitting it on one page if it can be nicely spread over two.

Single spaced with double space between paragraphs here too. Trying to stay away from tabs which could cause formatting problems.

I agree that one page is more than enough. If you are going over to two pages you are way over the 500 word essay request from Yale.
