I was wondering if it was possible to get single rooms? If so, how and where do I apply?

I think single rooms only apply to individuals who have some type of medical concern; they are thus saved for this purpose.

No, some schools have a fair amount of singles, though they are sometimes not allowed for freshman. What schools are you looking at? Their websites will describe the various dorms and give you a sense of whether singles are available, how many, and for whom (and also the extra cost, if that applies).

there are random singles throughout the older freshman dorms (i had one in goddard) and they are assigned randomly. however when you get into the lottery (sophomore and beyond) most of the residence halls have singles but they are significantly more expensive. i know coral has a few per floor and alumni hall is completely singles. they are however in high demand as mentioned on another thread.

There have been at least two other threads THIS WEEK with the same question.

so does that mean you can’t choose what type of room you want? or instance, singles or LCT.
Also, could someone tell me what the “1-2 suite, 2-5 person” mean? Are two rooms connected by a bath or a living room…?

Suites are usually 2 bedrooms connected by a common living area.
