Single sex floor or gender neutral?

I think rooms must be occupied by students of same sex but are dorms and apartments separated by sex or are they gender neutral?

Sexy time!

Someone please answer ^

Fine I'll answer...roomate=same sex. Dorm rooms=sometimes coed by floor, sometimes same sex alternating floors.

Apartments have male and female apartments on the same floor. If you're worried about gender neutral housing I would check with the GLBT center, they have a lot of information and would be able to provide more specific info on USC policies than most students on the board.

Thanks... I am getting afraid that people at USC might not be aware about this issue at all since I've seen lots of ridiculous comments...

The GLBT center has a lot of good resources on this information, and also has its own floor in housing, where all groups can feel welcome.

the housing brochure where i found that link says that USC was named one of the top 20 LGBT-friendly universities in the nation by the 2006 Advocate College Guide for LGBT Students :)

thanks... I sent an email to the housing service so I hope I get one that meets my needs... :)

I would go one step further than e-mailing housing and actually contact the GLBT center. They will be more able to work with the University to meet specific needs than the housing office might be. They're really friendly so I would encourage you to give them a call or send them an e-mail.
