Single Vs. Double Vs. Triple

Vote!!!!!!!!

single!!!!

Triple! (10 Char!)

triple cus u save money.

Single.

(Triple if you're frugal.)

Money is not an issue. What should I pick???

if money not an issue then, of course SINGLE

single .

It seems that all of you guys want singles, yet when I ask people on AIM, like my friends, or other family members, they all say double! Ah!!!

well doubles no longer exist. triples are vastly cheaper than singles (by $1500) but if money is no issue than a single might be a bit better. personally, i'd rather just have the $1500 and room with two other people. having two roomates is also very convenient. one brings the tv, other brings the microwave, and another brings a fridge (again, saving more money). oh and also having two roomates is a good way of meeting people when you begin new at a school, when you hardly know anyone. hanging out with your roomates and their friends may help jumpstart the friend-making process.

Doubles do exist.

And the price difference between singles, doubles, and triples varies between colleges.

I imagine the people who say double do so because they think you'll have a greater chance of making friends. You can make friends just as easily from a single. I'm in a single now, and I hang out with my suitemates all the time. Being in a single doesn't preclude me from this. On the other hand, there's a guy in my suite in a triple who plays WoW and spends all day in his room. Being in a triple hasn't helped him.

Sigh....I just don't want to be the only loner in the suite....

don't be then

What are all you guys requesting?

deng, so many housing topics...oh well

I'm stuck in the same situation as single vs triple as well...
I am kind of curious as to some of your guys' experiences with both. And what are some of the problems that come up with triples, and how do you resolve them.

i originally wanted a double but apparently there are no longer any doubles, at least for muir. that makes it harder to choose becuase i do not want to live by myself and pay extra, but i also dont want to live with more than one person. i heard triples aren't so bad though as long as you spend some time outside your room. having roomates is just a natural part of college.

ugh this decision is so hard. im just afraid that if i have a double, they will make me be put in a triple, i wont be able to jack off, study privately, and do other ****. ugh, YET, i still dont wanna be a total loner in the suite!!!

Being in a single will not make you a loner. There are downsides to singles (mainly the financial cost), but being a loner is not one of them. Don't worry about it.

the thing is, in ERC, there is only 1 SINGLE PER FLOOR, meaning thats going to be my room...while everyone else has double + triple

^ uh, unless you have special circumstances, it's unlikely to get a single (sucks, doesnt it? :( I want a single too....)
