Audio - Redheads Anonymous. I am still looking for the support group....And SBMom way LOL. My D's messages are always like this,

shower....
out with my girls....
late meal at Frist.....
too much to do.....
hockey game and the Street....
matematica.....
Yay! Visitors!

Not a whiff of sarcasm anywhere. I like your S's. Not that I don't appreciate D's messages, they help me track her down. But I am sure when the day comes I sign an as a buddy to S, I will see that exact type of stuff, or else quotations from Wedding Crashers or Orange County.

I spend a lot of time here, in the back, quietly caressing my bottle of Glenfiddich and watching the party around me. Time to open the bottle and pour a shot into a snifter (no water, please). My daughter just got a phone call from one of her colleges, offering her a talent award almost double the amount listed on their website as "highest award offered." They like her, they really like her! And we now have one college that my daughter can attend and graduate from with $0 in parent or student loans.

Pick your poison...barkeep, rounds are on me!

The away message I use the most is "around - leave a message". It means, "I don't really feel like talking, but I'm here if it's something important".

::retreats back into my corner with a refill of Coke Zero::

mezzomom, pass that bottle down. Here's to a beautiful beautiful day for your family. I can well remember the relief seeping through my body....

Alu said, "or else quotations from Wedding Crashers"... LOL, because one of the away messages I did not put the first time was

-a LaJolla man clings to life after being attacked by a pack of wild dogs at the bottom of an abandoned swimming pool

SBMom. This is getting scary. However, as my mother was pregnant 9 times in 10 years resulting in 4 children from 1956-1966, I think biological reality means we cannot have been separated at birth. However, we need to ask one final question. What was your mother doing in September of 1956:)? Of course, I only have my mother's word for it that that's when I was born....

Mezzomom! You go girl. Come on out from the dark nether regions and put some baskets on your head. I'm drinking Italian white and trying to make tuna tapenade at the same time. That reminds me, I better get the capers out of the refrigerator....

Thisyearsgirl. Have some white wine with us. It will help you get ready for Swarthmore...:).We won't tell. Helan Gor!!! Fa Fa Fa Fa...or however that Swedish drinking song goes.

:) ((((Group slugghugg for Mezzomom and MezzoD)))) :) :::Jumping up and down and clapping with excitement for you::: O-Happy-Day!

Red pepper and pesto tapenade...check. Crispy rosemary crackers...check. Dry 2004 Johannisberg Riesling...check. Bacon-wrapped salmon and wilted spinach...check. Crusty sourdough bread...check. Baked apples with vanilla bean ice cream...check. Despite our Seahawkish menu, GO STEELERS!

Alu, invite your friend, Helen, to the Sinner's Alley annual end-of-winter festival of Schleicherlaufen! I will be wearing my traditional suit made of tree lichen. Fa!

Walking in with PITA checklist in hand
Taxes: done
FAFSA: done
CSS Profile: done
Supplemental financial aid forms for various colleges: done

I think I like Sluggbugg's checklist a whole lot better, but at least I finally have "done" after each on mine!

I briefly considered checking out airline schedules to see how quickly I could get to CA and show up on Sluggbugg's doorstep to partake of the yummy menu. But then I realized...today is a good day to be in Detroit. I don't have to go anywhere; the party is all around me!

Well, we're having a little trouble getting in the spirit of SuperBowl here in Patriot Nation ....., so we're serving Lazy People's Menu of [ul][]guacamole and chips[]chili con queso and chips[]what everybody else brings that we don't have to cook (with or without chips)[]-nod to the Seahawks-Starbucks Drinking Chocolate[/ul] and.. in a strange testimony to the karma of cc without ever having read posts #2086-2090....
....Swedish meatballs! :D

Mezzomom: I'd join you in that toast but by now the bottle has been passed around so much that it's probably empty. So make this a virtual toast to your D, after all that's been going on.

Slugg: if you want some great Johannisberg Riesling, contact Freemark Abbey, as when I was last there they were selling off all their remaining stock at a good price. Maybe some's still left.

Dadofsam, I'm pretty sure the advantage of Sinner's Alley is that the bottles are never empty! So a toast right back at you; thanks for your support over the past year. I still feel a bit of a tug that Brandeis never made the final app list, but from reading CC, it looks like they're going to have a wonderful class of 2010. Best to you and yours...
