Sinner's Alley Happy Hour (Part 1)

HEY!!! I want MY Id checked...please, its been sooooo loonng, and the next person who calls me MAAM will get decked

hahaha, I know what you mean!

Fire up the jacuzzi for Carolyn and berurah. They both got flamed with a blowtorch. Berurah got her wings singed by a couple of old-timer CC'ers who need to check their separated-at-birth egos at the door...Y'all should know better.

Taking out Carolyn in early March is like a college soccer team breaking their opponent's All-American goalie's leg in the first or second round of the NCAAs....Taking out Berurah is just plain unecessary.

sluggy and alu~

OMG, it's been a tough couple of days....your sweet statements brought tears to my eyes, but THIS time, happy ones. Thank y'all both for your support.

Sluggy, if carolyn gets the seat next to you, maybe I can just sit on your lap?? lolololololol---or maybe we can just skip the barstools and head straight for the jacuzzi....that sounds like HEAVEN right now!!! Let me go and find my towel.......

Thanks again gals....love, ~berurah <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I just got yelled at for saying something in parents cafe about, you know, what I like to talk about, and was told to go be with my family, and what was I doing on a highschool forum...I very politely told the little )^ that if they read the title of the section PARENTS CAFE and this was the place parents got to cyber hang out

so I kind of get berurah and carolyn's position

in just a few hours, I will toast you all with my umbrella drink laying on the beach with my fake tan

and take a 6 day break from my computer, unless i can find that internet cafe....hmmmmm...no must be strong!!

and, you go girls!!!

CGM - enjoy the vacation. B., I have an all-purpose lap so have at it. SBMom, as always, looking forward to the day when I see you on the beach.

And to all a good night.

Good grief! Such tzurrus! CGM and berurah, glad you're still with us. Hang in there, and don't let the trolls and rude folks get you down.

Darn it, CGM! I meant to give you the link to my 25th anniversary trip last year on the Big Island, without the oversized keikis (that's Hawaiian for pint-sized, ungrateful ankle-biters). :D ::::it's raining popcorn::::: Hey, hey, now! I love children...with butter and a nice glass of Syrah.

Anyway, CGM...about the Big Island. Watch it on those balconies at night when you think the other hotels guests are asleep. The dolphins at the Waikoloa have big mouths, and they'll tell the whole damn hotel the next morning during the Dolphin Encounter class. ;)

Oh, and remember, there are helicopters flying around everywhere, especially at the petroglyphs out by the Pu'u 'O'o vent. And, don't take any lava. It belongs to Madame Pele. Dinner at the Pahu i`a at The Four Seasons (not far from the Hilton Waikoloa on the Kohala side) for your anniversary...kupanaha (wonderful) beyond words! :)

Think of us when you're slurping your Mai Tai with a little umbrella in it. Aloha!

Hugs to CGM, Berurah, and Carolyn.

I saw B's thread get attacked - that wasn't a blowtorch, dahlin, that was the fire of a thousand suns. Completely unnecessary. Missed the other two and I'm quite happy NOT knowing what people are saying to you guys.

Anyone remember what CC was like back in the old days - you know, '03 and '04? Much quieter, much smaller, and much more personable group. Oh well.

Ghirardelli's brownies for Berurah. I'll even spike them with some Gran Marnier. :) Plain version for CGM, who cannot be a day older than 19.

ahhhhhhh, like I am in Samanth's box...you know 45-50...but thank you made my night

went and got my spray on tan, hightlights, and painted nails, like a natural woman!!!

Where are all the good people when you need 'em?? At first I thought my eyes were deceiving me...someone DARING to call that attack what it REALLY was????!!!! Wow, girl, you are BRAVE! And I love ya for it---and for many other things as well! Thanks for the yummy brownies---chocolate is truly the best medicine!

love, ~berurah

CGM~

Hope your vacation is FABULOUS!!!!!! We'll miss you around here!!

~berurah

Berurah,

Hugs back. I wandered away from CC for a few days, came back, and saw the mess that happened from your b-day thread and then the apology one. So, to answer your question, I was ruckusing in NYC when you needed me. Which was too bad, because I was the appointed person to say what everyone else was thinking but did not want to say.

(Said appointment occurred after I met a friend's lovely girlfriend, said that I heard a lot about her, and, when she laughed nervously, said something about her b/f being way out of his league. Friend later said that he knew everyone was thinking that but wondered if/when it would be verbalized. Aries - planting her foot in her mouth since the early 80s.) :p

Incidentally, I'm detoxing from NYC. Would not recommend giving blood after a weekend of heavy drinking. So it's Orangina for me, too.

It's 70 degrees here. And sunny. It's Gran Marnier mango sangria time!

*Syrah (bottle)
*OJ (3 cups or so)
*mangoes
*orange (or two)
*strawberries
*splash or two of ginger ale
*Splash of Gran Marnier

Enjoy on a deck as the weather warms up.

freezing rain here.

Guess I'll have mine over crushed ice

or go for the hot toddy...

Joyful evening here.... TJFH is out in the garage learning the drum line to a piece his band is going to record next weekend on a school CD to be sold for charity.

In the house I grew up in, it was my younger brother who was always banging on the drums. Now, over 30 years later, my brother is still playing drums in a band 3 nights a week, and he loves it. And if our mom could still talk, I'm sure she'd say she was proud of him.

I guess I'm turning into my mom in more ways than I'd expected. :) Drink up, friends, and count your blessings tonight, large and small.

Moot, my soundtrack is the clack!, clack! of a flipped skateboard...

ALOHA...checking my email, and having an early umbrella cocktail

saw a rainbow, went boogie boarding, nagged my Ds long distance, off to shop and my H is gonna golf

xoxoxoxo to my cyber family, and of course our room is next door to six college hotties (the female type)...but the water is great, the weather is great (rained last night) and I have eaten WAYY too much

sorry for rubbing it in

No, it's o.k.! But one of my fav places. Enjoy.

Today I saw a new product for sale at my local grocery store.

Frozen Oatmeal.

Now, really-- is it any harder or more time consuming to heat water for instant oatmeal than to thaw frozen oatmeal? Is this an insidious pro-microwave, anti-stove bias at work?

And think of the energy used to both freeze the oatmeal and heat it, as opposed to just heating.

What is next, frozen coffee? Frozen tea? Frozen hot water?

Sheesh.

That is hilarious......I thought the entire post was but when I got to "frozen hot water", I practically choked on the drink I was drinking!
