<p>I’m sitting here waiting for a call back from my S explaining why the accounting office thinks he is only part time this year. Perhaps a registration snafu? Or perhaps he is? </p>

<p>I need a nice big glass of wine. My (step)father died this morning at about 1am. It’s been a month of hell. He went from fine to dead in a month. I won’t go into the whole thing, but my sister and her husband are saints dealing with it all while I “help” from Tennessee. I have been up here in PA since Thursday for the last days and to move WildChild into his housing for the next couple of years (and maybe the rest of his life since I’m never moving him again). We have huge issues with the care of our mother, who is wheelchair bound and has mild dementia. </p>
<p>jeez – MOWC – you need a break. Are you still in Philly? I’ll put a tap in the keg out back and you can bring WC and all his friends over for a shindig. Hang in there!</p>

<p>yeah – H and I were in Center City yesterday and I had the grand idea to take Walnut out through West Philly to save time. Can anyone say move-in day? Bad move! Anyway – here’s to all our kids settling in for the year – (or for some of us, kids coming home from temporary refuge due to evacuation from NOLA but soon to return) – red drinks all around – I’m trying to think of redheads but coming up empty-handed!</p>
<p>Lifting up SA to page 1 status, and lifting a drink for MOWC. You’ve had a tough year. None of us are prepared properly to deal with the aging, ill parent-thing. Unfortunately, it’s hitting all of us at the time when our baskets are already full with our kids, too. Good thoughts headed your way.</p>
