Roses looking good but Dec 5 is Civil War and OSU is also is the hunt.
DRINKS for Everyone   :)

Lonely night. No one here. I’ll go home,

and turn off the lights.

Wow, LongPrime. I guess I missed out on that hot action. BUT! Luge doubles is much more exciting than collegiate football. 2 guys on a tiny sled racing downhill with blistering speeds - yeah!

We were in the car (driving back from grandson’s bris!) trying to hear the Bengals game until it got out of radio range. They were ahead most of the game, but we discovered when we got home that they lost! :(

On the bright side, AM sports stations get staticky, but FM music stations are good all the way! :)

And yes, he is the most beautiful baby on the planet. I have a wallet photo to prove it.

mommusic, in honor of your grandson, allow me to buy a round of Purple *****es:

* 2 oz Vodka

 • 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
 • 1/2 oz Chambord raspberry liqueur
 • Sweet and sour mix
 • Cranberry juice

(The drink name was censored, but obviously it has to do with a bris.)

Hmmmm…oh, I get it. :o

Sounds yummy! At TGI Friday’s they had some sort of Pink Punk Cosmo–it is poured over a chunk of cotton candy in the glass!

Tuesday before Thanksgiving…time to come up with special drinkies for Turkey Day!

Cranberry juice is always a good mixer.

Warning: chef should not imbibe while making tactical decisions involving heat and/or knives.

So I guess shots of Wild Turkey are out, then?

Here’s a drink called the Wild Turkey :)

1 part Grand Marnier
2 parts Antioxidant Cherry Sprite
2 parts cranberry juice

Mix all the ingredients in a tall glass with ice.

Or, if you prefer to drink the Wild Turkey, there’s this one:

¼ cup of Wild Turkey
1 ½ tsp. sweet vermouth
1 ½ tsp. dry vermouth
¼ cup of sugar
1 ½ tsp. ground allspice and nutmeg

Take ¼ cups of sugar and 1 ½ tsp of allspice and nutmeg and mix together. This will line the rim of the glasses. Mix the bourbon, sweet and dry vermouth in a shaker. Wet the rim of the martini glasses and sugar the rims, then divide the Thanksgiving Cheer!

The 2nd one sounds particularly good, with the holiday spices added.

Wild Turkey is also good straight…no fancy schmancy mixers needed!

Spent Thanksgiving with Pittsburgh fans & Illini alums. My Bearcats beat Illinois and will do the same to Pittsburgh next weekend. I do believe. :p

ITS THURSDAY. Civil War in Oregon. ABC, 6pm PST. Root for your favorite webfooter. And a Henry’s in hand.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704107104574571743324587648.html?mod=WSJ_myyahoo_module

After a successful audit of my operation today, the tension that was building since before Thanksgiving MUST be forced to subside. It’s Miller time. (Actually, it’s Coors Light time, but who’s counting?) I’m going home early.

mantori…and Miller will help? j/k

Just found out that we’re hosting DH’s family as well as his best friend (and family) over the holidays. I’m not opposed to it - but I’m a lousy cook! But I can make a mean margarita and mojito!!

Any suggestions for cold weather drinks? Must do a taste test here first, of course…

Lots and lots of big fluffy snow flakes falling here tonight. We are supposed to have 3-5 inches by morning. I’ll be happy to help test those cold weather drinks!

Oregon 23, Oregon State 21. Halftime.
Take no prisoners.
Most of Oregon must be watching this game of the century. Conference title and Rose Bowl on the outcome.

BTW, Henry Weinhart beers are craft brewed beers and ales originally from Portland, home of craft brewering, now owned by that brewery that makes the weakest of beers, Millers.

Sorry, reverse the scores at halftime. OSU 23, UO 21.
