Sinner's Alley Happy Hour (Part 1)

Drinks on me, Olympic size or whatever suits your fancy! D was accepted into her first choice grad school program. Whoo, hoo!

Hey Blinker,

I’ll take that drink and much congrats to your daughter!!

Blinker!!! Hooooooooooray!!! Cheers…oops, trying not to poke myself in the eye with that little umbrella.

Wow, hard to believe it’s spring anywhere. Still under a foot of snow here in SW Ohio. It should melt by March something or other, and then we can hope to see crocuses.

Congrats to CBBBlinkerdaughter! I’ll take a fancy drink! Do they put those little umbrellas in hot toddys? :)

We do here, momusic! Yours has daffodils on it.

CBBBlinker - congrats!

mommusic - it’s spring here in so cal  but my kids would love to be in the snow - snowboarding!

I’ll buy a round!

Let’s get this party started!

USA hockey! Grad school admissions! Spring!

U-S-A! U-S-A!

I wondered where all the hockey fans were. Please don’t say you’re drinking wine at some effete bar that isn’t the Alley!

Nope, just a bit drowsy here in the Eastern time zone after staying up to watch the coverage the last several nights!

What a performance by the US goalie!

More snow here in the eastern time zone.

Well, my brother in Minnesota sent out an evite for his second wedding–Saturday, April 10. It will be much more low-key than his first wedding.

It just so happens that that day coincides with an accepted student day at a Minnesota college my daughter has applied to–but has not (yet) been accepted to, and that won’t issue decisions until mid-March. If she is accepted, we could attend both events, so I am planning to buy plane tickets for myself and my daughter. My daughter grumbled that it is premature because she has not yet been accepted, but her stats and the fact that she is a legacy make it pretty likely that she will be accepted.

So, we’re planning a trip to Minnesota anyway. Where are those virtual drinks?

Congrats Cbbblinker!!!

My first time at the Alley, so drinks are on me! S1 has a job interview over spring break and S2 got into his #2 school - we’ll hear from #1 ~April 1 (which happens to be S1’s birthday).

I’m thinking of something green that hints of St Patrick’s Day and spring: an Everybody’s Irish cocktail with 2 oz Irish whiskey, 1 Tbsp cr

welcome to Sinner’s Alley, 12rmh18. I love chartreuse (the color :)) and now I kow how to spell it!

Champagne in honor of the wedding!

Chartreuse in honor of spring (we hope we hope) & St. Paddy’s Day in oh, a few weeks.

Or if you prefer, get down with the beer & peanuts for the hockey games. ;)

Oh! What a day at work! Drinks for all, because I know I shouldn’t drink alone!

I am here, can’t risk you drinking alone. Bartender, wake the back booth up!

Denise! Thank you for saving me from myself!

I am having a cabernet. And the obligatory cheetos. What would you like?

Red wine is always a favorite. And it does go so well with the cheetos!

Here I am buying the second round. It looks like a small crowd is gathering. Are those Canadian Women Hockey players? Congratulations ladies!

To strong women! Hockey players regardless of nationality!

To all female hockey players - yay! And to all water polo players as well (I do not care who wins as long as no one loses their contact lenses :p)
