Alright well, I’m the fool this year that SIR’d early. I’ve already acknowledged how stupid I am, so please don’t remind me.
I have already SIR’d to UCLA but got into UCB today. Is it allowed to change it? Or am I stuck with UCLA. Either way I’m fine but I would like to attend UCB.
I guess my question is, is it allowed? If so, what is the official process for it? Links from UC’s would be appreciated.
Sorry for the stupid post.
Don’t worry, this is not a stupid post. Other people might also have this question!
It should be allowed.
I found this link for Fall 2015. The instructions should also apply to this year (Fall 2016).

Just tell ucla you don’t want to go, then SIR to UCB
Yep, withdraw your SIR to UCLA, then SIR to UCB. You’ll have to pay the $100 again though
Lol @Raftar94 . Congratulations! The scenario you describe happens every year many times over. Colleges expect students to get off of waitlists at higher choice schools, so you’re perfectly fine declining UCLA after SIRing and accepting UCB.
