SIR E-check or mail

I'm so annoyed they wont let me use a credit card! My parents wont allow e-check sob so I gotta do snailmail so impatient

lol, i know! it sucks that they dont take credit cards (which will annoy you even more when you also cannot use a credit card to pay for tuition and housing). you just watch the whole amount of money flow out of your bank account. using a credit card would give you some more time. my mom got a bit more relieved when i told here that the off-campus apartment that i’m gonna be living in next year accepts credit cards lol.

this is *en PATHETIC…the fact that this is supposed to be a respected university and they cannot accept the most common payment of a *en credit card?

so bs

So if we snail mail, would it take them a while to process it cus the spots may be taken up quickly :X and will we be able to do the survey at the 7th step? haha

what spots are you talking about? and i have yet to hear of a college which does; i just asked a friend at Boston College and he pays with a bank account, so can you point out a college which does (accept a credit card as a form of payment)?

I meant that UCSB has 4000 spots available with 20,000 admits, so if I sent in my SIR about the last week those spots wouldn’t be taken, would they? I’m going to snail mail mine tomorrow and hopefully I can take the survey :D

There is no “first come first serve” system involved with the admittance of students. Anyone who was admitted is guaranteed a spot. You have to keep in mind that not all those 20,000 admits are going to choose UCSB, as the yield rate historically has hovered around 20%. In fact, UCSB specifically accepts that amount of people in order to anticipate a freshman class of about 4,100 this year.

Awesome, thanks for the clarification. I can take more time in my decisions now =P

You can just defer payment so that it goes on your first bill for tuition…
