SIR Early?

Hi guys so I got into Cal and got waitlisted at UCLA and Stanford. I would consider going to LA or Stanford if I got off the waitlist, but those schools would come out sometime after May 1, and SIR is due by May 1.

I’m going to SIR to Cal by May 1 anyways as it is my only option before the waitlists come out. So is there any advantage to SIR early?

SIR now since it is your first choice excluding Stanford and UCLA. You will also reserve your spot early. Make sure to get the housing and the whatnot right away too, you never know what could happen.

You only get off the waitlist if there weren’t enough admitted who SIR’d, which at Stanford and UCLA is unlikely.
