I received an online uva account/login about a week ago, and was able to login without any problems. now, i can't access the page...is anyone else having the same problem?

Yeah it keeps telling me an error has occurred. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, because I want to see the status of my application.

Same here, there’s an error showing up

Same here. I just posted a thread about it before I saw this one. I’ve tried using different Web browsers, navigating UVA’s Web site, Googling it, etc. (not just by clicking on the link provided in my email), but to no avail.

Sounds like there’s some maintenance going on.

If you got the login email, you’re done for now. There is no point in worrying about your status. We haven’t been in the office since Wednesday and there is a mountain of mail to process. Your status is not going to change.

Hope you all are reading the blog…I’ve talked about this a few times in the last few days and also posted about this on [the Class of 2014 group on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=app_2373072738).

It was kinda of a problem for J-term students who were trying to access some class enrollment info …

Wait, I never got a login email? Was it online or through snail mail? I finished my application about a month ago.

kraz, go into your Common App account and verify that all three sections of the application were submitted (Common App basic, UVa Supplement, and payment). You may have assumed that you submitted all three, but you have to actually submit each item.

If Common App shows that you submitted all three sections, go look in the junk/spam folder for the email account you used with Common App. You should have an email from uvaapplicationinfo@virginia.edu.

If you don’t have an email and you definitely submitted all three sections, email that address above and request a new email.

Add uvaapplicationinfo@virginia.edu to your email address book so the email is not flagged as spam.

Okay, I need to request an email from them. I logged into SIS. What is the difference between “complete” and “view decision?” When it says “view decision,” does that mean they have made up their minds, even if I won’t be able to see it until April 1?

No, you don’t. You obviously got the email because you were able to log into the SIS. That’s all you need to do right now.

From my most recent post on [the Facebook group](http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=87336209476):

“-If/when you apply for Financial Aid, their office’s to do list will appear on your status page. Our offices are separate, so we in Admission have no knowledge of what’s going on with your aid application. Direct all questions directly to them.”

Sorry if this is a redundant question, but on SIS it says apply for Financial Aid 2010-2011. Should we fill that out now if we intend to apply for it? Or will our information on the Common App (i.e. our SSN and checking yes for financial aid) be enough?

Depped, go to the Financial Aid website. The application process is explained. There are multiple forms to submit.
