ah thanks so much it worked!

Just wanted to say that SIS is really slow. I’ve only been on it for less than two minutes, so I’m expecting more flaws to come.

it’s not all fun and games. i was TA-ing last night in stacks for around five hours (a little after 7 to around midnight…). plus next semester i have an 8am class every single day (woo ed school).

sis is still stupid (read: over the top flash/java/whatever it is that’s SLOW and a memory-hog… it just, like, times out for no reason - not just students, my advisor was complaining about it when i went to see her), but i do have to admit i like not having to remember (aka not lose the paper i write it on) that stupid advisor code for registration.

There must be a feedback mechanism for those of you who are having trouble.

I’ve been kicked out for 20 minutes of inactivity, but I always get a warning pop up that tells me it’s going to happen. If I shake my mouse, all is well.

well, it’s pretty much like collab.

i email about features that don’t work. they say they just haven’t ever made them work yet. wait lemme get an email proof of that.

…they’re very helpful, no?

Ah. We aren’t Collab users. Sorry for the trouble, Hazel.

DeanJ:

When loading finaid info, SIS crashed at least four times, with no periods of inactivity.

Btw: What’s the purpose of re-typing all of fafsa data info into SIS? Why doesn’t/can’t Finaid just upload fafsa like every other college?

guys, I didnt understand where the decisions will appear on SIS

^ if you look at the blog (and scroll down a bit) there’s a screenshot of where you have to click

Sorry, I’m not an aid officer. A call to Financial Aid/SFS might get you an answer.
