Sit on SAT score or try ACT?

Hi!

I’m a current junior who recently received November SAT scores. This November, I scored 1550 (800 M, 750 CR) and a 21 Essay. I took the old SAT in January as a sophomore just for fun and received a 2160 (740 M, 760 CR, 660 W). I don’t think it’s prudent to retake for a 1600, but considering I’ve never taken the ACT, is it worth trying for a 34+ there?

I generally test well and prepared for this SAT by taking one Khan Academy practice test as well as the October PSAT. I’ve only taken one SAT II but plan on taking more.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

You are done testing, congrats! A 1550 = a 35 on the ACT…focus on your ECs and essays.

No.

@essaysarefun - you could if you had the money and time, but you don’t have to. 1550 is more than enough. And remember - SAT / ACT is only one part of your app. If I were you, I would not worry about testing, but focus on GPA, ECs, essays, etc.

You don’t have anything better to do on a Saturday morning?

Hahaha - yes of course I do but I actually have school on Saturdays so I wouldn’t be missing out on life… just school

NO. Why would you even ask, seriously?
