If it’s any help in locating the problem, I’ve seen the same glitch (thread links bounce back to list of forums) on both PC and mobile browsers.
I am also clicking on threads and getting bounced back to the main forum page. Using Chrome 44.0.
What happens when I try to see my messages:

Earlier I was loading blank pages on my phone… thought it was just bad internet
Midday, I got a screen message stating “overload.” Same issues being routed to a main page (when I hit bookmarks or my profile.) After a few tries, it’s then good.
I bet America has been more productive today. 
Same problem with being sent to main page, and I wrote a beautiful, sincere reply to a post that was going to change the very course of a poster’s life, but when I clicked Post Comment it vanished.
D’oh!
I get the main page every few minutes when I’m trying to get to a thread.

LOL this is new. What happened when I tried to post on another thread:
Jym was the last posted and I was posting under her. When I clicked post the response box disappeared and I got this:
LOL! Maybe the hackers who take over chrysler cars are taking over cc!

It’s really annoying to have typed out an incredibly (if I do say so myself) thoughtful response to a question, hit post, and be brought to the main page and the draft was not saved.
