Siu carbondale vs University of ill chicago vs IIt(chicago) for biomed and mech eng

Im trying to decide on where i should go. I do plan on transferring as soon as i can to U of I about 1 or 2 years in. Maybe Madison if given the option. But which school should i go to for biomedical and mechanical engineering? Mainly biomedical. I will have between a 3.45-3.5 cumulative gpa unweighted and a 3.8-3.85 weighted gpa at the end of junior year . I know this isn't much of a solid score but i have and will continue to take Ap classes and im in a Gifted Academy program. I did manage to get a c in Academy Biology and a C in Academy Chemistry but I already got an A for the other semester and I got a B and an A in Ap Bio. For Academy chem i'll be getting a B or A depending. I will also try for U of I and Madison Wisconsin but im not sure if i'll get in so the above are my safety schools. Carbondale may have a 44% acceptance rate but it has people going with honors classes and that don't have the hard program the Academy offers. I heard from teachers it easy to get in and since its in state i figured i give it a chance although it seems ranked low. IIt is closer and i heard its a good school. Someone mentioned University of illinois at chicago and i haven't heard much. I also started Tkd at the end of 8th grade and joined Science olympiad and robotics during my current year as a sophmore. I will plan on getting a 30 (hopefully 33) and a 2000-2100+ on my ACT.

First, if you are in-state, I would look into your community college. I also live in Illinois and the community college near us has a program with UIUC-Engineering. If you go to the community college and maintain I think 3.4GPA, you will get automatic admission to their engineering school. If your community college doesn’t have such a program, out of those three, I would choose UIC. I think UIC’s program is under-ranked significantly due to UIUC. Plus, UIC is a cheaper option, which holds the same weight. UIC is actually solid for engineering and from what I hear from my friends who transferred from UIC to UIUC, they said it was easier for them to transfer. It looks like you are not a Senior. If you are a Junior, and you have that GPA and expected ACT, I would directly apply to UIUC. You might not get into their biomedical engineering since it is highly competitive but you could get into one of there other engineering sectors. You can even apply to their General Studies program and say that you want to do biomedical engineering afterwards.

So they do have biomedical engineering at UIC? On the website it didnt say there was but instead mentioned bioengineering like cell tissue. And if i were to get a higher SAT or ACT like 2250/34 will i be able to get in to UIC? Also does U of I have Biomed? There website also says they have Bioengineering but doesn’t mention Biomedical.
