sixth college CAT1

there are 5 teachers to choose from for CAT1 class. does it mean if we choose one teacher for fall quarter, then we can't choose the same teacher for winter and spring? apparently 5 teachers teach different areas

You can take the same teacher as many times as you like.

You can pick your CAT teacher every quarter. Some people like to stick with the same one thru the whole year. I think I had two different teachers my fresh year- it really does not matter. Just take the one that fits best in your scedule. CAT classes are just plain torcher, no way of getting around that.

I recommend not taking an 8 am CAT class though. Everyone falls asleep in those- even the best students.

Since five teachers teach different areas, if we change teacher after a quarter does it mean we have to learn different things?

which teacher do you guys recommend?

I had 3 different teachers for CAT 1, 2, 3 and they are all about the same (boring). It’s really your TA that matters. They are the ones that grade your papers, and unfortunately you cannot choose your TA - you get what you get. In these classes you read many articles, attend some CAT events, and then write about them. So I recommend you choose a subject area that will keep your interest, and pray for a good TA. BTW… you can change subject areas each quarter; just pick whatever interests you.
