<p>As a state, MI is in extremely poor shape fiscally, the only OOS students they want are either full pay or tip top students who they will give merit scholarships to (which does not include transfers). Ask about FA for OOS transfers on the FA forum and see what kind of responses you get. Only 2 publics treat OOS students like they do IS for FA, UVA and UNC-CH.</p>

<p>As for the privates, while your EFC may be 0, unless they say that they meet full need AND they don’t give loans, you’re not out of the woods yet. Finally, while schools that use the Profile all get your same financial information, they all calculate need differently, so the schools you’ve listed may cost you as much or more than the 20k you’re currently paying at BU.</p>
