Does have any have stats on approximate size of the freshman class (or undergraduate size) of computer science majors at each of the big UC’s (Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, Santa Barbara, Irvine, Davis)? And how about graduation rates of computer science majors at those schools? I always hear about people dropping out of UCLA school of engineering but I don’t know if this applies to computer science too?
I found some statistics for UCLA here
https://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/wp-content/uploads/seasoasa/2018-UCEE-Report.pdf
Computer Science majors at UCLA are all in the Engineering School. The degrees available are Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and a new recently offered major Computer Engineering.
For 2018-2019 a total of 262 new freshmen enrolled in Comp Sci, Comp Sci & Eng, or Comp Eng.
For 2017-2018 there were a total of 257 who graduated with degrees in Comp Sci or Comp Sci & Eng (no Comp Eng because it is a new degree)
Also for 2018-2019 there were 108 transfer students who enrolled in those three majors.
There are statistics for previous years in the “Archived UCEE Reports” accessible from here:
